Build and be happy, that's the motto guiding every action at Atlantis!

Model building transcends mere activity; it represents a true artistic discovery and a fascinating journey through history. With Atlantis kits, you have the opportunity to develop your skills and build a unique collection.

Our goal is to nurture a new generation of passionate model builders, ready to contribute to the expansion and evolution of this hobby for future generations.

Thanks to the Atlantis brand of plastic model kits, model builders worldwide have the opportunity to breathe life into ancient and mythical models from discontinued brands such as Aurora, Monogram-Revell, and Renwall.

Let me tell you the exciting story of enthusiasts who transitioned from being retailers in the United States to becoming a renowned brand known for its sometimes original subjects.

Atlantis was founded in 2009 by former owners of Megahobby.com, Peter Vetri and Rick DelFavero. Initially launched in 2000, Megahobby.com aimed to become more than just a retail hobby shop.

The founders aspired to create a true model production company, drawing inspiration from major brands like Aurora Model Co and Revell-Monogram.

The growth of Megahobby eventually provided them with the opportunity to realize their dream by creating Atlantis and launching their own model kits under this brand.

Our beginnings with a few basic flying saucer kits, such as the E.V.E. saucer with lights and the triangular TR-3E UFO, were marked by collaborations with partners like Lindberg to reissue the Glow-Pilot UFO, dating back to 1954.

We also brought back to life the Wildlife series of models originally produced by Aurora, thereby introducing model building to a new generation of builders.

Our passion for figurines materialized with the reissue of the licensed Zorro figurine kit on his horse Tornado, after rediscovering the original tooling and collaborating with Revell-Monogram.

The Prehistoric Scenes series, a major success for Aurora Model Co. in the 1970s, was also reissued with the famous Giant T-Rex, followed by the reissue of the kit of the bloodthirsty pirate Blackbeard, known as Aurora's most dynamically posed kit ever produced.

Our desire to include car kits in our range led us to rediscover the old Merit race car kits of the Le Mans winners in 1/24 scale, expanding our partnership with model company Smer.

Our expansion continued with official toy releases like the battery-powered Titanic and the Aurora Viking ship, as well as rare reissues like the George Adamski UFO kit from Japan originally produced by Marmit.

Meanwhile, we developed numerous resin-based projects based on different science-fiction subjects, including the German Valkyrie spacecraft designed by Alfred Wong, the Atlantis lunar shuttle by JP Modelworks (Jeff Pollizzotto), and the horseback reaper by Hans Reuters and Jimmy Flintstone.

The year 2015 was a major milestone for Atlantis, with many ideas and potential products in development finally coming to fruition.

The highly anticipated Earth vs. Flying Saucers kit was well received, followed by the reissue of the old Aurora Invaders UFO kit in collaboration with Revell-Monogram. Our partnership with Lake Freighter Minis allowed us to expand our range with a selection of beautiful paper boat models made in the USA, as well as wooden boat kits featuring famous ships from American history like the Edmund Fitzgerald and RMS Titanic.

A new phase began for Atlantis on August 29, 2018, with the acquisition of tooling for numerous plastic model kits from the new owners of Revell, Revell Inc. USA-Blitz Partners. These molds, dating back to the early 1950s and originating from the tooling banks of Monogram, Revell, Aurora, and Renwall, were transferred to our facilities in Deer Park, NY.

This agreement allowed Atlantis to preserve this historic tooling and reissue many classics that had been unavailable for some time.

We firmly believe that our releases will appeal not only to those who experienced the original runs of these kits but also to a new generation of model enthusiasts who will contribute to the growth and expansion of this hobby.
