Remote control planes and the different models
Depending on your level of experience, budget and expectations, we offer a wide range of remote control plane. First of all, micro remote-controlled planes are a category in their own right. These toy planes are generally intended for amateurs and children to fly indoors and outdoors. They are small, inexpensive but are no less efficient and will provide you with great flying sessions. They are easy to handle and will also allow you to learn the ins and outs of radio-controlled flight. These micro planes are also relatively shock resistant, which allows the odd mistake here and there! On the other hand, turbine-powered jet planes are remote-controlled planes that are made to replicate high-speed aircraft. This category of aircraft is reserved for experienced pilots or model aircraft enthusiasts for hours of extremely authentic flying at full speed. You'll also find brands like Eflite and FMS, so hold on tight!
The glider category has many attractions. These ultra-light and aerodynamic models will give you a genuine sense of freedom. Often with a large wingspan, these gliders are sensitive to both wind and air currents. You'll be able to reach impressive speeds! For high-flying sensations, this type of aircraft is suitable for professionals and beginners. Remote control aerobatic aircraft are designed to perform tricks like loops, rolls, and flips. This type of highly manoeuvrable aircraft is ideal for precision games, high-speed take-offs and forced landings. You will become a pro at flying in the most complicated environments. Finally, the beginners' planes are designed to learn the various techniques of flying a radio-controlled plane.
These models are reliable and you can learn quickly and enjoy flying at speed right from the beginning. It's up to you to choose the plane that best meets your expectations and gives you the most authentic feeling of flying.
On the Scientific MHD website, you will find both ready-to-fly (ARF or RTF) aircraft and kit planes to build completely. The term ARF (Almost Ready to Fly) means that the model has been carefully assembled and decorated in the factory and that all that remains for the modeller to do is to install the motor, servos and radio control. RTF (Ready To Fly) models are fully equipped with motor and servos, and the only thing left for the modeller to do is to install the remote control receiver.
To occupy your long winter evenings, opt for the KIT model to be completely assembled, decorated and equipped with accessories.
How do you look after your remote control plane?
After each flight, it is essential to clean your remote control plane. During the flight, they are in contact with various particles which can infiltrate the electrical circuits and deteriorate them. Use a dry microfiber cloth and you can even disassemble your aircraft for a thorough clean. This care and attention ensures optimal flying time! Make the most of our expertise at Scientific MHD's,o and get ready for take-off!
