Make building an RC submarine easy with the Krick U‑Boot Type VII kit

Are you passionate about scale model submarines but hesitate to take the plunge?

The Krick U‑Boot Type VII assembly kit is designed to remove every barrier.

Thanks to precise, well-thought-out engineering, building this RC submarine becomes accessible even for beginner modelers.

The RC installation is also simplified, making this model an excellent option for diving into the captivating world of remote‑controlled submarines.
Building and piloting submarines have always fascinated modelers. But many hesitated to build such models because of unsuitable or complex plans.
Thanks to its various parts, including an ABS plastic hull, this model is much easier to build.

The immersion technique used is semi‑dynamic.

The Type VII was probably the most famous submarine in the world, with over 1,000 units built in various versions.

This type is characterized by its particularly harmonious hull lines, looking more like a ship than modern submarines.

This Type VII B model, in its base configuration, is a kit to assemble a purely static model with all the high‑quality thermoformed ABS parts needed.

Anyone wanting to make the model navigable and submersible needs the propulsion and diving kit. However, larger diving planes must be used than the reduced‑scale ones intended for display.

Converting a display model into a submersible one afterward is not possible.

The hull of the Type VII B submarine consists of two ABS half‑shells, the dive tank, the ballast, and the deck, thermoformed from thin material so that all slots and openings remain clearly visible. The tower structure is also made of several thermoformed ABS parts.

All fitting parts and the two deck guns are included in the basic kit.

Technique : the diving process of this model is semi‑dynamic, meaning a pump and ballast tank are included in the diving set, but they only support dynamic diving (at sustained speed) navytribe.com+8reddit.com+8rcshipyard.com+8.

The motorization kit S02120311, which contains all parts and accessories to prepare the static version for navigation, is not included and must be purchased separately.

In addition to this kit, to get a ready‑to‑navigate submarine, you’ll need: a 4‑channel radio, 2 servos for the diving planes and rudder, an ESC for forward drive, and an ESC for filling the ballast tank. These complementary items are offered below in the section “Articles You May Need”.

Regarding batteries, modelers are free to use any configuration based on available space and model balance, but we recommend a 12 V 4000 mAh NiMH battery (ref. Z03N10402F).

The U‑Boot Type VII: the iconic submarine of World War II

First launched in June 1936, the German Type VII submarine quickly became the flagship of the Kriegsmarine.

Used throughout World War II, this true workhorse was produced in over 700 units—a historic record in submarine mass production.

Designed as an intermediate model between coastal U‑boats and long‑range types, the Type VII was perfectly suited to the smaller dimensions of the North Atlantic.

Its efficient design allowed it to gradually replace the older Type III and IV submarines.
