The Saint-Chamond is the second tank produced for the French army during the First World War. It is much heavier and longer, but also better armed than the first, the Schneider CA1 chariot. Four hundred copies are manufactured by the Compagnie des Forges et Aciries de la Marine and Homécourt (FAMH), in Saint-Chamond. Born from the rivalry between the Saint-Chamond firm, on the one hand and, on the other hand, from Schneider society, it turns out to be not very effective on land upset by the trenches and the impacts of artillery. However, in 1918, when the war of movement was resumed in the open countryside, its 75 mm cannon was used to attack the opposing campaign artillery at a distance. The main weakness of the Saint-Chamond Char was his long too short tracking and subject to frequent derails. The war ends before the Saint-Chamond tanks were fully replaced by British heavy tanks. Maked up more than 300 pieces with fine details, individual caterpillars to mount, and pieces in cutting photo.
