A realistic and accessible RC sailboat

Developed by Manfred Kaiser-Pletscher (MKP Modellbau), the Antares was designed for advanced beginners.

The kit includes:

• GRP (epoxy) hull – pre-molded

• Laser-cut wooden parts for deck and superstructure

• Preassembled deck module, inserted later into the hull

• All required materials for construction included

• Detailed finish with mahogany elements and wooden deck

This RC sailing yacht is a collector’s model, not mass-produced — ideal for fans of classic yachts.

Custom rigging and optional motorization

The rigging set (brass blocks, rigging lines, turnbuckles, etc.) is sold separately (Ref. 20371).

A motor drive kit for windless conditions is available (Ref. 42370).

1:1 sail plans are provided. Choose between:

• Buying sailcloth to sew your own (Ref. 61900)

• Or using a pre-sewn sail set (Ref. 61915)

The step-by-step illustrated manual, including the detailed twin-headsail control, makes assembly easy for non-experts too.

You can install 2 or 3 sail winches:

• Mainsail winch 14 kg – Ref. 79074

• Headsail winches 10 kg – Ref. 79073 (x2)

• Standard servo – Ref. 79054

• Speed controller – Ref. 67051

• RC transmitter with at least 4 channels and dual-rate
