Le Constitution fut l’un des 6 premiers navires de la marine de guerre des Etats-Unis. Il fut construit en 1797 et resta en service jusqu’en 1881. Il a remplit de nombreuses missions et notamment participé à la guerre non-déclarée contre la France de 1798 à 1800. En très mauvais état vers 1830, l’opinion publique ne permit pas son démentellement. Il est maintenant au Musée naval ancré dans le port de Boston. Le kit contient toutes les pièces en bois très précisément pré-découpées, l’accastillage, les voiles et les plans.
